Susan Hjort, Managing Partner
Susan and Kevin are siblings and partners in the accounting practice. Susan majored in accounting at the University of Oregon and made a move after college to California.  There she obtained her California CPA license while working in the San Francisco office of Ernst and Whinney (now Ernst and Young).  After two and a half years as an auditor, Susan worked in the private sector as an Accounting Manager and a financial consultant for another four years before staying at home for 13 years to raise her three children.

In 2001, Susan renewed her CPA license in Oregon and began working as a tax accountant.  She has experience in individual taxes and business consulting. Her business knowledge has included a variety of industries including catering, trucking, real estate, home owners associations, insurance, medical practices, law firms, non-profits and churches.  Susan also has expertise in payroll, monthly accounting and Quickbooks training. 

After working with her brother for four tax seasons Susan joined him as co-owner of the firm.  Her full time focus is Managing Partner for the Accounting Practice. She is also involved with Kevin as a consultant and advisor to the family real estate partnership.

When she is not at the office, Susan enjoys watching her children play sports and participating in activities at her church.  She enjoys traveling when time allows and someday hopes to be involved in mission trips.

Kevin Ohanesian, Co-owner
Kevin Ohanesian has been involved in the small business sector for almost his entire life. After majoring in accounting at the University of Oregon, Kevin secured a job in a mid-sized California accounting practice that specialized in bookkeeping and advising small businesses.  From that time forward, he has always worked for (or been a partner in) small to medium sized accounting firms that have specialized in small business tax and financial services.  Kevin has been blessed over the years to work under the tutelage of some of the finest small business accountants in the profession both in California and in Oregon.

Currently Kevin’s role in the accounting practice is one of consulting and advisement to his partner Susan.  Kevin’s full-time focus is with Portland Payroll, a sister company to the CPA practice which specializes in payroll services for small businesses.  See their website at www.pdxpayroll.com.

Kevin holds a Certified Public Accounting certificate from both the State of Oregon and the State of California. He is a member of The Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Kevin is married with three children and enjoys helping raise them and participating in family activities.
